A meeting of visions: architect and developer.
The innovative architectural bend in the building and the luxurious interior designs are
both functional and aesthetic.
Architect Ralph Johnson on The Peshtigo
“Our vision for the project was quite direct. We have a great parcel here.
In designing this it all comes down to maximizing the site. To maximize views in all directions, we developed what we call the bent bar. Instead of constructing the building in a conventional shape, we gave it an angle. The bent bar allows every unit to be positioned to maximize whatever view it has naturally.
For city views, it means seeing between the other buildings, instead of looking straight at them.
The lake views and Lake Shore Drive presence are what motivated the design decisions. It’s all about the modern interpretation of utilizing space.”
Architect Ralph Johnson on RELATED
“Related has a great reputation among architects as being passionate about great buildings. They are a developer that is dedicated to excellence, even if it’s the hidden things no one would see. My firm and I are pleased with the process and the end product of what we’ve done together.”
Creating luxury from the inside out.
The power that draws you into the architecture of a building is brought to life in its interior. Under the direction of Synthesis, Related’s in-house design team, every detail of these homes contributes to a design vision that is both impressive and understated. The Synthesis process develops concepts that reflect individual lifestyles. These concepts are then translated into a plan and carefully integrated into a cohesive, personalized environment that fulfills both aesthetic and functional needs.
